Timothy Charles Cox

Timothy Charles Cox, 59, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Mr. Cox was a long-time resident of Gaston Residential Services, on the campus of Belmont Abbey College, Belmont. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Charles T. Cox and Ruth Hansen Cox.

Mr. Cox is survived by his sister, Linda Tanner; his nieces, Michelle Long, and Sharon Blalock and her husband, Kelly; his nephews, Scott Long and his wife, Shannon, and Stacy Long and his wife, Jessica; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and his extended family, the staff and fellow residents of Gaston Residential Services.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cox will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
