Timothy Lee Frady

Timothy Lee Frady, age 61, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Rutherford County, son of the late Mitchell T Frady and Ruby Frady Garrett.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step brother David Garrett III.  

Tim served on the East Gaston Volunteer Fire Department from 1981 until 1996, and on Spencer Mountain Volunteer Fire Dept. from 1996 until 2001.  In his early years he was also a member of the Mount Holly Life Saving Crew and Mount Holly Fire Dept. He also worked 22 years with A&E Mills and most of those years, had perfect attendance. Tim had a large sense of humor that always left people with a smile on their face when they spent time with him.  In his spare time, he loved to fish and host barbecues and also trips to the mountains.  He loved his entire family including his dogs.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Violet Frady, his step father David Garrett Jr., a step daughter Tiffany Griffin; his brothers: Mitchell Frady (Iris), and Les Frady (Kimberly), his step sister Karen Emory, as well as his granddaughters Autumn Griffin and Silver Chapman.  

A service to celebrate his life will held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday October 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with the Deacon Bill Melton and Pastor Eric Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
