Todd Allen Bradshaw

Todd Allen Bradshaw 58, passed away at his home on August 5, 2022. Todd was born on July 8, 1964, in Gaston County, to Shirley Reid Bradshaw and Ralph Ray Bradshaw and grew up in Stanley, NC. Todd was the youngest of three children and his Family considered him a gift from God. He was Number #1, and his Family's focus. Todd, born with Down Syndrome, overflowed with love and affection for all. He lived a full life, attending pre-school and graduating high school from Webb Street School in Gastonia.

After his graduation, Todd entered a residential program with Gaston Residential Services, Inc. (GRS). GRS provided Todd a life of happiness, fun and dignity. GRS was Todd’s home. He loved coming to visit his parents and siblings on weekends and Holidays, but he was always ready to go back to his residence and GRS Family. On Sunday mornings he would begin asking when he was going back to the group home. This was his home, and he loved his housemates, group home staff, and GRS extended Family.

Todd leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Mike (Ann) Bradshaw of Denver, NC, and a sister, Sandra Ridley-Winn (Ronnie) of Greensboro. Four nephews: John Bradshaw (Caroline) of Charlotte; James R. Bradshaw of Little River, SC; Patrick Ridley (Kim) of Huntersville; and Michael Ridley of Greensboro. Five great nieces and nephews; Kara, Joy and James H. Bradshaw, and Harker and Harrison Ridley.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bradshaw, mother Shirley Reid Bradshaw, and Uncle Barry Ridley.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Stanley, Common Ground, 5481 Hickory Grove Road, Stanley, NC on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Family visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 preceding the Service at the same location. Interment will conclude at the Stanley Cemetery.

The Family is forever grateful for the more than 30 years Todd spent with Gaston Residential Services, Inc. GRS provided Todd a home setting where he could interact with his peers, and live a full and wonderful life. The care, love and affection Todd received was immeasurable.
