Victoria Lynn (Sutton) Kennedy

Victoria (Vickie) Lynn Sutton Kennedy, 54, passed away on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 surrounded by her family at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. Vickie’s personality would light up any room she entered and her laugh was contagious. She refused to leave the house unless she looked her best. She loved her family fiercely and her “honey bunny” was her entire world. Vickie was truly the best Nana her grandkids could have ever asked for. She made the world brighter and she’s left a void that will never be filled. We have comfort in the fact that she is dancing in the presence of the Lord and we will all reunite someday. Until then, we will try to keep her memory alive by remembering her hilarious laugh, overly cheerful disposition, faith in ALL circumstances, and her constant tardiness. 

Vickie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Reverend Chris Kennedy, son Reverend Ryan Kennedy (Jessica), daughter Natalie Johnson (Chris), and son Tyler Kennedy (Carla), 6 grandchildren: Madilyn, Aubrey, Nathan, Emma, Luke and Aria, mother Priscilla Sutton, father Jim Sutton (Sherrie), and brother Martin Sutton.

Vickie was preceded in death by grandparents George and Rose Short and Reverend James and Grace Sutton.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Life Church Cramerton. Visitation will be held beforehand beginning at 11:00 am.
