William Thomas "Tommy" Mullis Jr., 62, of China Grove, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at home. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of Jane Crane Mullis and the late William Thomas Mullis, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory include his children Brandon Thomas Mullis (Meredith), Stephanie Paige Mullis, Jessica Leigh Mullis (Kevin), and Gabriella Marina Lopez Mullis; grandchildren Harper Johnson and Ava Mullis; sister Linda Wingate (Darryl); brother David Mullis (Susan); as well as a nephew and numerous nieces. Tommy had a lengthy career in NASCAR working with many well known race teams. A celebration of Tommy's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam's Way Randleman, NC 27317 or at victoryjunction.org.
