Willie Lee Scott

Mr. Willie L. Scott, 84, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home. He was born in McDowell County, WV, son of the late Dock E. Scott and Glenna Fraley Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Novella Carver Scott; and his siblings, Goldie Simmons and Robert Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by daughter, Linda Withers; his siblings, Pearley Lee (Barney), Sadie Pence, Coy Scott, Jesse Scott, Frances Scott and Jack Scott (Tracy); his grandson, Derek Haymore; and special friend, Phyllis Smith.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Scott will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
