Carley Danielle Skibo

Carley Danielle Skibo, 26, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of Richard William Skibo and Laura Michelle Miller Skibo. Carley was a member of Alexis Baptist Church.

Carley was a very modest and trusting person who was always willing to help someone else. She was a giver, a loyal and honest friend to all who knew her; she was the kind of friend that would always stand-up for what she believed was right. She was happy and content with every situation she encountered and her unique perspective on all things kept those around her laughing. Carley is much loved and will be greatly missed.

Carley loved her family dearly. She was especially close to the children in her life. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Ava Grace Skibo; her siblings, Amy Leigh Skibo and Cody Dean Smith (Callie); her niece, Kenzie Alisha Vidales; and her nephews, Joseph Crue Smith and Richard Cade Smith.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the home of her parents, 532 Woodsong Ln., Stanley, NC 28164. The family will hold a private service to celebrate Carley's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Webb Street School, 1623 N Webb St, Gastonia, NC 28052.
