Darrell Franklin Roberson

Darrell Franklin Roberson, age 70, of Sherrills Ford, died Tuesday, August 7 at Carolinas Medical Center, Lincoln.  He was born in Graham County, son of the late Mary Crisp and Perry Roberson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Neal Cassada, and two nephews David and Darrell Hambrick.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Anna Perez Roberson; five siblings Tommy Cassada (Norma), Frank Cassada (Carmen), Merlin Roberson (Betty), Karen Hambrick (Tom), Cleta Miller (Don); sister in law Kay Cassada; brother in law Ricardo Perez (Susana); nieces and nephews Hardy, Mary, Amber, Shane, Lisa, Shawn, Amy, Shannon, Ardith, Timmy, Chris, Brenda, Lizette, and Misael.  A Mass of Christian Burial, followed by military funeral honors, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 13 at Queen of the Apostles Roman Catholic Church, 503 N. Main Street, Belmont.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, also at the church.  Burial will be private.
