David Howard Wright

David Howard Wright, 81, of Bessemer City, went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Alexandria Place in Gastonia.  He was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, son of the late Bryant Wright and Johnnie Spencer Wright.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Tacker Wright; siblings James, Curtis, Freddie, Buddy, Minnie, and Mary; a son Arlan lee Wright; and a son in law Brian Cole.  Those left to cherish his memory include his children Howard Wright and his wife Helen, Rose Anne Graham and her husband Joe, Teresa Knighten and her husband Jeff, and Becky Bridges and her husband Dennis; his siblings Betty, Nancy, Gary, Bobbie, Calvin, Geri, Jimmy, and Donna; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will greet guests for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City.
