Ernest "Ernie" Samson Lyons

Ernest "Ernie" Samson Lyons, 73, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born in Needham, Massachusetts, son of the late Ernest LeRoy and Winifred Shuker Lyons. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Tank Lyons.

He was a member of Alexis Baptist Church and past member of Massachusetts Auto Cruisers. Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife, Marcia Smith Lyons; his daughter, Jacqueline Lyons; his son, Philip Lyons and wife, Lora; and his step-son, Joe Mauney and wife, Gretchen; his grandchildren, Harrison Lyons, Margaret Lyons, Charlotte Lyons, Benjamin Mauney and Brandon Mauney; and his sister, Carol Barlow.

A memorial service officiated by Rev. Scott Jenkins will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Alexis Baptist Church, Alexis, NC.  The family will greet guests from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
