Joyce Faye (Riffe) Hicks

Joyce Riffe Hicks, 77, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Cora Mitchell Riffe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Denzil Hicks; former husband and father of her children, Alonzo Hicks; former friend and companion, Tommy Payne; and a brother, William Riffe. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Queen; two granddaughters, Amanda Hicks and Carrie Hicks; a grandson, Shannon Anderson; five sisters, Adana Tawlks (Wesley), Nancy Shew (Freddie), Elizabeth Wagner, Irene Lee, and Nadine Woytowitch (Ed); two brothers, Zack Riffe (Lisa), and James Riffe (Edna); five great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Hicks will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly with Pastor Vernon Cope officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
