Peggy Miller Sherrill

Peggy Jean Miller Sherrill, 89, of Mount Holly, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Gaston County, a daughter of the late Hasten B. Miller and Alice Jones Miller.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Leonard Sherrill; three sisters Marlene Miller Eargle, Loubeth Lanier, and Venoy Miller; a brother Arthur Miller; and a brother-in-law Wade Sherrill.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children Terry Leonard Sherrill (Elizabeth Ann Parsley), Debra Jean Sherrill Stroupe (Edgar Marshall), and Melissa Gay Sherrill West; grandchildren Crystal Malulani Stroupe (Luis Medina), Kerri Brianna Sherrill Beasley (Ben), and Nicholas Russell West; great granddaughter Bella Beasley; her brothers Donald Miller, Melvin Miller, and Jerry Miller (Becky); brothers-in-law Donald Sherrill, Steve Sherrill, and Gary Sherrill; sisters-in-law Carey Meacham, Barbara Wright, Cheryl Jackson, and Patricia Nixon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 13, 2019 at First United Methodist Church, Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service also at the church.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.  Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 140 N . Main Street, Mount Holly, NC 28120.
