Phyllis Hanna Ingle, 80, a lifelong resident of Mount Holly, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late William and Leila Hanna. She was a 1957 graduate of Mount Holly High School.
Most of her life was spent making a home for her four children and her husband. She is survived by her husband, Kemp Michael Ingle for over 50 years; her children, Jimmie Stone (Cammie), Kandra Sloan (Chris), Romey Bostic (Terri) and Kemp Michael Ingle, II (Tiffany); her sister, Konda Thomas; grandchildren, Kacy Stone (Lauren), Meagan Whitner (Allen), Sunni Howell (Thomas), Ethan Sloan (Cassie), Stephanie Bostic, Justin Bostic and Joseph Bostic; nine great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Jeanette McLaughlin.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ingle will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. An entombment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
