Yvonne Jewell (Lewis) Winchester

Yvonne Jewel Lewis Winchester, 65, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Wake County, daughter of Peggy Jewell Vance Lewis Travison and the late, John P. Lewis. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles Travison.

Mrs. Winchester is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ernie Pyle Winchester; her daughter, Julie Winchester Jenkins and her husband, Buddy; her son, Charles Clayton Winchester; her grandchildren, Jonathan Kyle Jenkins and his fiancé, Karli Harris, Cody Jordan Jenkins and girlfriend, Courtney Teno, and Jacob Jeremiah Jenkins; her great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Thomas and Colton Thomas and her fur-baby, Bella.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Winchester will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region, 1420 E. Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
