Walter Alan Flowers, 68, of Belmont, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 12, 2021 at his home. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Walter Marcus Flowers and Maxine Hopkins Flowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Lee Broome. He was a member of United Baptist Church where he was a deacon and ran the sound system. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Geneva Lutz Flowers; 5 stepchildren; three sisters, Shirley Revels and her husband J.R., Kathy Camden and her husband Rick, and Kimberly Mayne; his sister-in-law Alice Broome; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Alan will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at United Baptist Church, 1970 Lowell Bethesda Road in Gastonia.
