Burgin Sherrill Nixon

Burgin Sherrill Nixon, 82, of Stanley, died Monday, January 29, 2018.  He was born in Lincoln County to the late Fannie Sherrill Nixon and Vance Nixon.  Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Stilwell Nixon and three brothers Melvin Nixon, Stamey Nixon and Ben Nixon.  At Mr. Nixon's request a graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 31 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 15829 Arlington, VA 22215.
