Carol O'Neill Obituary

Carol O’Neill, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, raised in Harrison, New Jersey, and was the eldest child of the late Stanley “Stan” Baranowski, Sr. and Dorothy “Dot” Smith Baranowski. In addition to her parents and her brother, Bobby Baranowski, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John “Jack” O’Neill, Sr.

Carol was a loving mother and sister to her family and also had an exceptional career as the Executive Secretary at Freightliner for 30 years until her retirement in 2008. In addition to her career, she was the main caretaker of her late husband after a stroke left him paralyzed on the right side and wheelchair-bound. Carol enjoyed spending time at the beach and had fond memories of her family’s summers at Long Beach Island in New Jersey.

Her memory is cherished by: her children Maureen Guy and her husband Keith Guy, and John O’Neill, Jr. and his wife Lisa O’Neill; grandchildren Mandy and Joni Wagoner, Hannah Adams and her husband Ben Adams, and Lillie O’Neill; great-grandchild Murphy Adams; sister Maureen Guaverez and her children Melissa, Tammy, and Heather Sak; brother Stanley Baranowski, Jr, his wife Jean Baranowski and their children Sarah Monteleone and Joseph Baranowski. She is also survived by her loving pet of 13 years, RJ O’Neill.
