Carson Wilson Obituary

Carson Hayes Wilson, age 95, passed away on October 5, 2021, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, N.C. Born in Gaston County, he was the son of the late James L. Wilson and Ruth Todd Wilson. He graduated from Mount Holly High School and Catawba College. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He worked for many years at American and Efird Mills in Mount Holly, N.C. and retired from Specialty Dyers in Concord, N.C. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Belmont, N.C. where he served on several committees. Survivors include his wife, Nelda, son, David Wilson and wife Kimberly of Wake Forest, N.C., daughter, Donna Wilson and grandchildren, Adam Wilson and Amber Wilson of Wake Forest, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Wilson, John Wilson, Coyte Wilson, Todd Wilson, and sister Sarah Wilson. A service of remembrance will be at the Mausoleum at Hillcrest Gardens in Mount Holly, N.C. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 23 N. Central Avenue Belmont, N.C. 28012. The family wishes to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of Robin Johnson House for their loving care they gave him during his last days. Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, N.C. is serving the Wilson family.
