Coleman Nixon Obituary

 

Coleman "Nick" Nixon, 83 of 50 Ranlo Road Gastonia passed away on August 29.  He was born in Mecklenburg county, son of the late Leonard Lafayette Nixon and Dana Bellzora Prim  Nixon.  He was preceeded in death by his wife Helen Frances Nixon, a son Barry Glenn Nixon and a brother Reid Nixon.  He was a member of New Faith Baptist Church (North Belmont).  He is survived by a daughter Deborah Howard of Rock Hill, SC;A brother Horace Nixon; A sister Peggy Pace; Four grandchildren, Ryan Duncan of Belmont, Jason Duncan and fiance Alicia Schillaci of Chester, SC, and Tim Bradley of Rock Hill, SC, Tonya Cope and husband Randy of North Belmont.  Seven great grandchildren; Jaycie Duncan, Mason Bradley, Ethan Cope, Jolee Duncan, Jeanna Duncan, Preston Cope, and Travix Craig and numerous nieces and nephews.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:30 pm on Tuesday September 4th in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly with the Rev. David McClure officiating.  The family will receive friends starting one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens.
