Dan M. (Bubba) Radford, 73, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bennettsville, SC, son of the late Dan Melton and Rachel Radford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Baby Ray and Bernice. Mr. Radford was retired from Duke Energy. He was a longtime member of New Faith Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Stanley Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, and tinkering with small engines.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Ann Caldwell Radford; his children, Donald George Radford and wife Susan Evans Radford, Daniel Todd Radford, and Michael Scott Radford and wife Nicol Kimble Radford; his brother, Carby Young and wife Jean; his grandchildren, Miranda Radford, Julia Radford, Jenna Radford, and Brandon Radford; his sisters-in-law, Martha Ross and husband Steve, and Libby Dellinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Gaston Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Radford will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at New Faith Baptist Church, 1224 Mayberry Rd., Stanley, NC 28164. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
