David Lee Lineberger

David Lee Lineberger, Sr., 74, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his home. He was eldest son of the late Carroll B. and Ruth Palmer Lineberger of Stanley, and was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Becky Carpenter Lineberger.
He was a charter member of East Gaston Fire Department, was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Holly, and retired from National Welders (now AirGas).

He is survived by a daughter Leslie Bauer and husband Ken, a son David Lineberger Jr. and wife Shannon, three grandsons Jake Bauer, Brodie and Paxton Lineberger, a brother Ronnie Lineberger and wife Carol, and 2 nieces Kelly Gilbert (Dean) and Cathryn Lawson (Wesley).

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lineberger will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly with Reverend Janet DeWater officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Chapel Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Active and honorary pallbearers will be members of the East Gaston Fire Department.
