Dianne Young Morris, 70, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ and reunite with her beloved husband, Lynn on Monday, January 25, 2021. Diane was a member of Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church where she loved working with the young children and youth of the church.
Dianne was born in Mecklenburg County, and was preceded in death by her parents, William Young and Betty Jo Yow Featherston; and her step-father, Doug Featherston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life for over 52 years, Sammy Lynn Morris.
Dianne’s joy in life was her family. She sacrificed and was a tireless provider. Nothing made her happier than cooking a big meal and spending time with her grandkids. She had a servants heart and epitomized the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was loved greatly and her family will cherish the countless memories of the amazing mom and Maw Maw she was.
Dianne is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Morris Payne (Jeff); her son, Ben Morris (Heather); her brother, Bill Young (Christine); her grandchildren, Shelby Kraft (Tom), Bailey Morris (Hailey), Camryn Morris (Jordan), and Lily Morris; her great-grandchildren, Avery Kate Morris and Talon Kraft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private family service to celebrate Dianne's life will be held at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Rev. Dr. Danny Penny and Pastor Eric Chaney will officiate. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting www.stanleyphc.com.
