Elzie Virgil Hicks

Elzie Virgil Hicks, 70, of Mount Holly, NC passed away at his home on June 28, 2020. Elzie was born on October 6, 1949 to the late Virgil and Etta Hicks. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Carol, Wanda, Willis, and Dennis. Elzie retired from Clariant Corporation in 2010 after 32 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Glenna Hicks; sons John Hicks and wife Kristina, Shane Hicks and Matthew Hicks, all of Mount Holly; sisters Gay Beam, Melva Pruitt and Dora Nease; brothers Riley and James Hicks. Grandchildren Kasi, Krissi, Corey, Jordan, Jonathan, and Dustin. Elzie also leaves five great grandchildren whom he adored; Ryder, Robbie, Iris, Sawyer and Riley. A private graveside service with family will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Hicks Family Cemetery. Richard Jenkins will be officiating the service. Woodlawn Funeral Home is serving the family.
