Glen James Hampton, Sr.

Glen Hampton, Sr., passed away at home on September 20, 2018.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He was preceded in death by his mother Daisey Hampton; father Frank Hampton; and grandson Noah Hampton.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for Duke Energy.  He is survived by his wife Sherry Cook Hampton; daughter Angie Parker and husband Charles; son Glen Hampton, Jr. and fiancé Shyanne Miller; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister Terri Sacco.  A service will be held at 11:00 Saturday, September 22 at Davis Memorial Baptist Church in Gastonia.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Glen's boss Paul Beaty and his co-workers at Duke Energy for your care and support through the years.
