Harold Richard Messer

Harold Richard Messer, age 73, passed away on April 1, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Gaston county and was the son of the late Mildred and John Messer.  Harold loved his entire family and will be missed dearly.   In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Lorena Mathis Messer; three brothers: James, Glenn and Wesley Messer, two sisters; Jonnie Blackstock, and Nettie Ann Owens.  Those left to cherish his memory include his sister Florence Haskett, a brother Kenneth Messer (Thelma), a sister Brenda Braswell, his special nephews Mike Braswell, and Blake Jenkins, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park on Saturday April 10, 2021.  Facemasks will be required.  Arrangements in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly
