Howard Nelson Wall, age 67 passed away on Tuesday January 30th, 2024 with family and friends surrounding him. Howard never met a stranger, loved his family, and making people laugh. The doctors would say he was a unique and complicated case. He purposely made everyone feel special, Howard would talk to complete strangers and tell them whatever each person needed to make them smile. If he thought they needed a hug he had one to give. This is why he was perfect in his role of Santa. He wanted to keep the magic alive for the children and took this role seriously. Worrying about each child he spoke to and answering every question wisely; the children's eyes would light up and the excitement would be heard in their voices. The role of Santa was hard at times because of what some of the children would ask for. Years later Howard would still tear up at some of the things the children would tell him. He always seemed to know what each child needed whether it was a hug, joke, or candy. He passed with no regrets. Loving the game of golf we shall all see him again on the back 9. Live long and Prosper...Your Sons.'
He wanted to thank his doctors and nurses that took care of him. Dr. Edel and his nurse Virginia "beach." Dr. Shehadeh, Dr. Katsanos, Dr Rawl, Dr. Letts, Dr. Williams, and all the great nurses at Novant Health.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 39 years Pam Wall; his children: Ian Orion Wall, Jack Galen Wall, and Ben Wall; his brother Steve Wall and Sister Gail Garcia.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday February 4, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday also at the Funeral home.
