James David Morris

James David Morris, 57, of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his home. He was born in Gaston County to Janet Morris Auten and the late Richard Auten. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie and Atrice Morris. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 11 years, Judy Morris; children, Phillip Anthony Morris and his wife Toni, and Crystal Morris Adams and her husband Pierre; his siblings, Ricky, Michael, and Dana Auten; grandchildren, Athena, Mason, Makara, Jayden, Levi, and Jeremiah Morris; his uncle, Dane Morris; and lifelong special friend, Stacy Middleton. The family will greet guests from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022 at Centerview Baptist Church, 2300 Acme Road, Belmont. A service to celebrate his life officiated by Pastor Mark Costner, will be held immediately following at 12:30, also at the church. Interment will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
