Jennifer (Freeman) Walker

Jennifer Freeman Walker, 47, of Stanley, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born in Mecklenburg County to Kathy Helton Hefner and Chessie Lee Freeman.  Jennifer taught Pre-K for Gaston County Schools for 16 years. She was loved by all of her students, but not near as much as she loved them. Just as she loved her students, she also dearly loved her family and her fur babies. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Kathy Helton Hefner and her husband Mike and Chessie Lee Freeman and his wife Pat; her husband, Wesley Walker; her children, Jordan, Brandon, and Trenton Sherrill; step-son, Jonathan Walker; and her fur babies, Wrigley, Whitney, Wilson, and Henry. The family will greet guests from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
