Joan Farmer Lyman, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her home. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late L.J. Farmer and Kathleen Trull Farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lyman; her sister, Barbara Farmer; and her good friends, Hubert Robinson and Jim Wilson. Joan was a very loving and devoted daughter to her mother and was a loving and devoted mother and friend. She was always quick to have her say about things.
Mrs. Lyman is survived by her daughter, Donna K. Lyman.
A graveside service, to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lyman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
