John Wesley Butler

John Wesley Butler, 57, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his home. He was born in Cleveland County, son of the late Robert Wesley and Mary Catherine Cash Butler. For over 40 years, Mr. Butler was the owner and operator of John Butler Roofing, Inc. He also enjoyed buying, renovating and selling homes in the Charlotte area. He was a loving husband, dad, and pawpaw. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Butler is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sonya Tench Butler; his children, Tiffany Butler Haggerty (John) and Derek Bradley Hooper; his grandchildren, Allison Victoria Figueroa, Alexandria Marie Figueroa, Luke Wesley Haggerty, John Lewis Haggerty, III and Emma Faith Haggerty; his sister, Cathy Butler Beeker (Mark); his nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Lindy.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Butler will be held at 3:00 pm on  Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Chaplain Delbert Minner will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County, 900 Donita Dr., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
