Joshua Ray Cashion, 29, of Iron Station, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born in Mecklenburg County to Kevin and Cherese Cashion. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Franklin Day, Sr., a sister, Jillian Hope Cashion, and his aunt, Kelley Ann Longshore. He was working in sales at Unrivaled Metal Buildings. Josh will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of life, his family, his dogs, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. As Josh, would say, "this is not goodbye, but, C-ya". In addition to his parents Kevin and Cherese, those left to cherish his memory include his maternal grandmother, Martha Danice Day; paternal grandparents, Thomas Frank Cashion and Ann Nichols Cashion; his siblings, Jacob Till Cashion (Samantha Jarvis), Justin Frank Cashion, and Jenna Faith Cashion; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his two furry companions, Jypsy and Sadie. A service to celebrate Josh's life, officiated by Pastor Elliott Hipp, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, 7400 Mt. Holly Road, Charlotte. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. A reception will conclude in the family life center.
