Kay Canipe

Sandra Kay Canipe, 76, of Lincolnton, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born in Cleveland County to the late Emmett Canipe and Jean Canipe Anderson. In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Canipe and Robert Terry Canipe. Kay worked at Social Services of Lincoln County as a social worker for thirty years. After retiring from Social Services, she then worked for EMS of Lincoln County as a data clerk for seventeen years. Kay loved spending time with her friends and family and was known by those close to her for her generosity to others. Ms. Canipe is survived by her niece, Tiffney Canipe Murphy, and her husband, Gene; her great-niece, Caroline Murphy; her nephew, Jason Canipe, and his wife, Melinda; her great-nephew, Davin Canipe; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Canipe; her step-mother, Anne Marie Canipe; and her step-brother, Terry Lee Canipe. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Robin Johnson House for their care and support. The family will hold a private service.
