Linda (Gowens) Heffner

Linda Gowens Heffner, age 81, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday February 25, 2024.  She was born in Gordon County, GA and was the daughter of the late John and Sadie Roy Gowens.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Vernon Heffner.  She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world.  She loved her church, as well as cooking and baking.  She never met a stranger and loved people with her whole heart.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children Sheri Heffner and Bonnie Winkler (Gary) both of Mount Holly; her sister Joan Brown (Boyce); her grandchildren: Danielle Johnson (Fiancé James Smith), James Paxton (Fiancé Tyler King), and Tristin Winkler; great grandchildren: Izaiah Clubb, and Jayden Smith; a great granddaughter Ayva, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 28, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Goshen Cemtery in Belmont.
