Mark Levi Tharp, Sr.

Mark Levi Tharp Sr. peacefully joined loved ones in heaven on Wednesday, May 25th 2022. Mark was a beloved father, grandfather, a devoted brother, friend and so much more to many. He made friends wherever he went from Delaware to the Carolinas. Mark was a talented worker, he loved his experience doing ironwork for Summit Steel in Newcastle, Delaware. He was a long time foreman for Radco Roofing company of Charlotte, NC. He was a mentor to many of his colleagues, always willing to teach someone that wanted to learn. Mark was also an avid collector of coins, tools, guns and loved anything Harley Davidson. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Daniels of Townsend DE, Spencer and Margaret Tharp of Port Penn, DE, his father, Levi J. Tharp (Lucille), his mother, Virginia L.Daniels Fiore(Ralph), his twin brother, Michael Lee Tharp, his brother-in-law Tom Cadmus and nephew Tommy Cadmus. Mark is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lovell, two grandchildren, Madison Sheri and John Michael who lived with him. His son, Mark Levi Tharp Jr. who recently graduated from Gaston College for welding and machining, his two sisters, Jerri Cadmus of Vero Beach FL, Barbara Schaffer(Brian) of Elkton MD, many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly and thoroughly enjoyed receiving their cards and letters. Lastly he is survived by his companion dog, "Smooch". Mark loved all of his family, friends and neighbors with all of his heart. We will miss him dearly!

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Tharp will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
