Melvin Glenn Walker Jr.

Melvin Glenn Walker Jr., age 69, passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Melvin Walker Sr., and Alice Walker.  Mr. Walker was a devoted and good-hearted family man who will be missed dearly.  He was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Wanda Walker as well as his sister Wanda Walker.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Susan Walker; a daughter Megan Walker, and his grandchildren: Mason and Melody McCreedy.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 19, 2022 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
