Our beloved Michael Charles Rozzelle, 75, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Cooper Rozzelle and Catherine Wentz Denton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Gene Rozzelle and Jerry Rozzelle.
Mr. Rozzelle is survived by his children, Kristi Grier (Carlos) and Charley Bland; his grandchildren, Chase Grier, Jordan Grier, Stevie Grier, Isabelle Grier, Makenna Wallace, and Noah Wallace; his brother, Jonathon Rozzelle; and his cousin, James Harper.
Mr. Rozzelle's extended family, his brothers and sisters in Christ at Family Worship Center - Mount Holly, will also mourn his passing. He was a devout Christian, passionate about helping others, and truly lived the mantra of "God, Family, Country". His service to our country began through the United States Army, dating back to his tour in Vietnam. He lived his entire life as a proud soldier to his family and community. He was also very proud to volunteer to support others as a sponsor through Celebrate Recovery, and selflessly gave back to the community through prison ministry. Mr. Rozzelle leaves his community with a lasting legacy of service, ministry, and love for mankind. His magnetic personality and sense of humor was known and appreciated by all and he will be dearly missed.
The family will greet guests from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, NC. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rozzelle will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
