Milton Guy Shelby

Milton Guy Shelby, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2018 at Stanley Total Living Center. He was born in Union County, TN, son of the late Milton Osco and Lucy Ann Butcher Shelby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Sisk Shelby. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the First Presbyterian Church, Stanley. He was a long-time serving Elder.

Mr. Shelby was beloved by his children and grandchildren, who remain to cherish his memory. His sons, Brad Shelby and wife, Texie of Charlotte, Steve Shelby and wife, Marti of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Bett Shelby of Silver Spring, MD, Mary Shelby of Charlotte, Tate Shelby and wife, Hanna of Severna Park, MD, Guy Shelby of Columbus, GA, and Madeline Shelby of Richmond, VA.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Shelby will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Shelby officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery - West, Charlotte at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Stanley Total Living Center, 514 Old Mount Holly Road, Stanley, NC 28164.
