Nancy (Garmon) Cunningham

Nancy Garmon Cunningham, 77, of Bessemer City, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Jobe Franklin Garmon and Hattie Lucille Jackson Garmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Cunningham and a son James Richard "Ricky" Cunningham. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Deborah Anderson (William), Angela Cunningham (Lee Hall), and Eddie Cunningham; a sister Patsy Gardner; a brother Fred Garmon; eight grandchildren Jerry Maxwell Ammons, Jr., Elizabeth Mayhew, David Mayhew, Michelle Cunningham, Eric Cunningham, Jamilyn Smith, Julie Cunningham, and Emily Cunningham; as well as 15 great grandchildren. The family will greet guests from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 5 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Bessemer City Cemetery.
