Reatha Poovey Obituary

Reatha Ann Thrift Poovey, 76, of Dallas, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was born in Boiling Springs to the late William and Mary McSwain Thrift. Reatha was a member of, and loved her church, Riverside House of Prayer in Dallas, North Carolina. She enjoyed serving the Lord. She thoroughly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, with whom she loved spending time with. She also loved and adored her dog "Bogie". The daisy, her favorite flower, would always brighten her day. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Phillip Edward Poovey; children, Susan Rogers Erwin, Sonny Rogers and his wife Leslie, and Denise Cloninger and her husband Terry; her siblings, Francis Oliver, David Thrift, and Billy Thrift; grandchildren, Somer Wilson and her husband Preston, Kadey Bell and her husband Brandon, Savannah Rogers, Jacob Rogers, and Shelby Wilson; as well as her great grandchildren, Liam, Jace, and Evie Wilson. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Riverside House of Prayer, 1405 Dallas Stanley Highway in Dallas, North Carolina.
