Rev. John Andrew Duncan

Rev. John Andrew Duncan of Gastonia, met Jesus face to face on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the age of 71. He was born in Gaston County to the late Andrew and Garnell Wright Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Payne Duncan. Mr. Duncan was the Pastor of New Bethel Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Andy Duncan and his wife Whitney and Darren Duncan; as well as three grandchildren, Jacob Duncan, and Gabriel and Adayah Kirkpatrick. The family will greet guests from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at New Bethel Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 4108 Mountainview Street, Gastonia. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 11:00, also at the church. Interment will conclude in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Bethel Independent Missionary Baptist Church at the address above.  Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
