Rev. Roger Dale Franklin

Reverend Roger Dale Franklin, PhD., was born in Gastonia, NC on June 27, 1954. He went to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, October 22, 2020. He was the founding pastor of Revival Tabernacle of Lincolnton, where he ministered for thirty-three years, and led many to Christ through his obedience and love for Christ. Throughout his life, Roger, served many roles including, Plant Manger at American Effird and Principal of Stanley Christian Academy, where he also taught High School History. Roger also served on the Executive Board for Revival Tabernacle Inc.

He is survived by his loving wife, Veda Harrison Franklin; Son and Daughter-in-law, Zach and Michele Franklin; Daughter and Son-in-law, Kendall and Joshua Mull; Daughter, Maiya Franklin; Grandchildren, Timothy Tyler Franklin, Kenzleigh Grace Franklin, Daleh Marie Franklin and Ella Rose Mull; Siblings, Jerry Franklin, Shelia Franklin, and many family, friends, and his church family who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Clarence Thomas Franklin; Mother, Nellie Burchfield Franklin; Son, Roger Dale Franklin, Jr., and Grandson, Harrison Carter Mull.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Covenant Church, 2168 Gastonia Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092. He will lie in repose at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
