Roy Lee Briggs

Roy Lee Briggs, 84, entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Earl and Annie Lindsay Briggs. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Catawba Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Briggs is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Shirley Ann Adams Briggs; his son, Todd Anthony Briggs; two brothers, Dwight Briggs and Everette Briggs.

A graveside service, with military honors, to celebrate the life of Mr. Briggs will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. Reverend James Messer will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
