Rutilio Hernandez

Rutilio Hernandez Zuniga, born September 8, 1956, passed away at CMC Atrium, Charlotte on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Preciliano Hernandez Resendiz.

He is survived by his mother, Elena Zuniga Corona; his five children, Arturo Hernandez (Grindelia), Elena Hernandez (Edgardo), Rutilio Hernandez (Tammy), Maria Hernandez (Sabino), and Orlando Hernandez; his grandchildren, Veronica, Viviana, Selena, Danna, Milton, Melina, Petra, Richard, Abe, Ailyn, and Gianna; four great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Rutilio came to the United States in 1985 and became a U.S. Citizen in 2020. He worked for the Morgan Landscape Group in Charlotte for more than 35 years. He attended Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Catholic Church.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hernandez will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte. The family will greet guests at the funeral home on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
