Ryan Scott Stafford

Ryan Scott Stafford, 17, of Mount Holly, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Friday, June 3, 2022. He was born in Mecklenburg County to Jennifer and Scott Stafford. Ryan will be remembered for his contagious smile that lit up a room, his love for his favorite tv shows and Disney movies, and the ocean air. He loved spending time with and being with his family. He will be tremendously missed. In addition to his mom and dad, those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Parker; his grandparents, Randy and Cathy Hicks and Roger and Velma Stafford; his great grandparents, Nancy and Floyd Buckner; his aunts and uncles, Deanna and Jon Thornburg, Josh and Andrea Hicks, and Joe Stafford; cousins, Aubree, Lexie, and Aiden; and numerous great aunts and uncles. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to his caregivers and nurses, especially Meribeth, Kelly, Tammy, Fabiola, and Tashia. They also want to thank Hospice of Charlotte and Kids Path for their compassion and care, especially his nurse, Amanda. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 until 4:30, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, 300 Westland Farm Road, Mount Holly. A service to celebrate Ryan's life will be held immediately following at 4:30, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Kids Path, P.O. Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
