Sandra Griffin (Lewis) Pickel

Sandra Griffin Lewis Pickel, 80, passed away on February 23, 2024 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Harold and Bessie Wolfenbarger Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Pickel, and her sisters, Sally and Betty Thomas. 

Mrs. Pickel is survived by her children, Sandra Braly (Kelvin), Angela Davis (Kenny), Tonya Olenki (Bobby), Barbara Diego (Domingo), and Matthew Griffin; her grandchildren, Victoria Wood, Candace Self (Gene), Daniel Griffin (Andrea), Daniel Braly (Tia), Nicole Hayes (Sid), and Zach Diego; her great-grandchildren, Trenton Self, Trevor Self, Jordan Garza, and Bryan Moustaugh; and her brother, Dwight Lewis. 

The family will greet guests from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pickel will be held at 1:00 pm immediately following visitation. Burial will be held privately at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
