Stewart Huckle was ushered into the presence of his Heavenly Father on March 14, 2021. He was born on February 4, 1947 in Canada. He was an electrician by trade and he loved to fish and hunt. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Rose Correll Huckle; two sons, Vincent E. Huckle of Hyattsville, MD and Loy Everette Huckle (Lena) of Alexis; two grandsons, Austin Patrick Huckle and Stewart James Huckle; four sisters, Laverne Nesbitt (Marshall) of Kinston, Canada, Eleanor Sifford (Ralph) of Stanley, Mary Hager of Georgia and Brenda Vinsant of Denver; two sister-in-laws, Linda Huckle of Alexis and Cheryl Ann Wiley of Catawba; one brother-in-law James Correll (Sandra) of Ft. Myers, Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Huckle will lie in repose on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:45 Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Boger City Baptist Church, 2201 E. Main Street in Lincolnton. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation, also at the church. He will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
