Tillman "Gene" Eugene Bridges

Tillman Eugene "Gene" Bridges, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. He was born in Forest City, NC, son of the late Tillman Crawford Bridges and Annie Doggett Bridges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Bridges, Hazel B. Sparks, Bill Bridges, Joe Bridges, Eva B. Pruette, and Nan B. Nation.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, Barbara Nell Trussell Bridges; his son, Joel Eugene Bridges and his wife, Hera; his step-grandson, William James Baird, III; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bridges will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC. Rev. Dr. Patrick Maloy will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
