William Robert Tyson Jr.

Mr. William Robert Tyson, Jr, age 62, passed away on Sunday June 19, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  He was born in Robeson County and was the son of the late William Tyson Sr., and Elizabeth Phillips Watson.  Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who was an avid softball player.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Cynthia Tyson, two children: Shawn Tyson, and Christopher Tyson and his Fiancé Ashley; two sisters: Jeanne Penley, and Betty Tyson; a brother Earl Tyson (Barbara Ann), as well as six grandchildren.  A service to celebrate his life will held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday June 24, 2022 at True Gospel Church in Stanley.
